IH Fixing Method for Higher Energy Efficiency: The fixing unit adopts Canon’s proprietary “IH Fixing Method”. The directly heated fixing roller has better thermal efficiency compared with indirectly heated fixing devices. It can achieve high-speed fixing through IH three-dimensional heating and eliminate idling during standby. An ISM (Induction Suppress Metal) corresponding to the paper size is set inside the fixing roller to prevent the temperature rise at the end of the roller. Even when using paper of sizes like B5, the printing speed will not decrease.
